I am a 24-year-old female with webbed toes (second and third on each foot about half way up). I consider myself a fairly self-confident person, but I have been self-conscious of my toes for as long as I can remember. Only my parents, husband, and a few close friends have ever known about my web-footedness.

I just recently decided to bite the bullet and do some research on the subject. I didn't even know until recently that my "condition" was called syndactyly! The Internet has not given me the kind of information I want on this subject either. It's only made me concerned that I might have some related disorder that I don't even know about. :) However, I thought this site was light-hearted and humorous and even allowed me to laugh at myself for my preoccupation with my toes.

I don't think that 24 years of thinking one way about myself can be undone in a matter of days, but maybe eventually I'll be ready to go sandal shopping...
