Amy's Webbed Toes

Amy's webbed toes

I am 47, born in 1959. I was adopted at birth and I have no idea if any of my biological relatives also have webbed toes. My adopted mother discovered my toes after she'd had me for about a week. A quick call to the doctor calmed her as he assured her it wouldn't be a problem for me.

In fact, it has never been a problem except that I can't wear toe-socks or toe rings. I don't advertise my toes, but I don't really hide them either. Sometimes people notice and ask me about them, but I think most people don't even notice when I wear sandals. I think they are cute.

I find myself looking at other people's toes to see if they are webbed. I have yet to see anyone else out in public that has webbed toes, although supposedly 7% of the population has them.
